East End Hospice - Kanas Center for Hospice Care

Eastern Suffolk's only independent nonprofit hospice; the Kanas Center is its free-standing inpatient hospice facility in the Quiogue section of Westhampton Beach, alongside home hospice services across the East End.

Opened in March 2016 on six wooded acres bordered by the Aspatuck River in Quiogue; the free-standing facility has eight private patient suites, each with its own private bath and patio, designed by architect Roger Ferris.

East End Hospice, founded in 1991, is a NYS-certified nonprofit hospice serving the townships of Brookhaven, Riverhead, Southold, Shelter Island, Southampton and East Hampton; holds Joint Commission Gold Seal accreditation and a Level 2 We Honor Veterans designation, per its own site.
